Who We Are

NaHSSA is an "association of associations" that is currently composed of health sciences students from 20 university and college-based chapters and 3 additional schools across Canada, including over 20 different health and human service professions. Membership is open to any recognized organization of health and human service students that promote interprofessional education among their peers at institutions of higher education (including colleges, universities and places of clinical practice).

The Board of Directors (formerly known as the Advisory Council) gives a strong voice to NaHSSA leaders from across the country in the operation of the association and provides a means for basic information exchange between its members. This advisory body will also discuss interprofessional issues of national concern and help guide the work of the NaHSSA Executive Committee and its officers. The Board of Directors functions on the following Guidelines.
