The 8th Annual NaHSSA Conference Theme

This year's conference theme is Innovation & Technology in Healthcare. Dealing with new innovations and technology in health care is a topic that is extremely relevant to today’s professionals. This theme recognizes that interprofessional education and practice needs to be a central component of a paradigm shift in how healthcare is delivered in Canada. Through networking and educational opportunities, students will learn from, with, and about other health care professionals and develop a greater understanding of collaborative patient-centered care. Health sciences students from across Canada will be empowered to be interprofessional leaders who emphasize the importance of interprofessionalism in education and clinical practice – from the grass roots to the heart of health care.

It was a great opportunity to learn about other professionals that aren't always well represented in all interprofessional settings.

I appreciated the opportunity to network with other professionals in different provinces, which was a great time to build relationships.
