Location:
Ryerson University- Toronto

Beginning September 30th, RU Interprofessional will host a series of lunch time sessions that will enable staff, instructors and faculty members to learn about interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional teaching tools. Each workshop will provide participants with practical IPE tools, tips and teaching skills to use in both classroom and experiential learning/placement contexts. These workshops will also foster opportunities for interprofessional collaboration and to learn with, from and about disciplines and Ryerson community members across FCS and Ryerson. Prior knowledge about interprofessional education is not required and everyone is welcome to attend.

Session One: September 30th from 12:00-1:30 SHE 560

**Please RSVP for this session by Friday, September 17th to: IPE@ryerson.ca

This session will provide an opportunity to learn about interprofessional ice breakers and participate in an interprofessional ice breaker activity.

This session will also provide an opportunity to view and discuss "Perspectives", an on-line interprofessional resource developed by the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health and Surrey Place Centre. Gillian May and Susan Allen, from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, will provide an overview of the resource, as well as a demonstration of "help Casey" - an on-line case focused on interprofessional collaboration in the context of dual diagnosis. This will be followed by a Q&A.
