NaHSSA Task Forces
Another outcome from Chapter discussions on March 22nd, 2009 was the creation of Task Forces - student-led groups focused on priorities determined by its Members. The Task Forces are listed with a brief description below. If you are passionate about interprofessional education and are looking to take on a more active role in NaHSSA, JOIN a Task Force by simply emailing one of the contacts below. The Task Forces will meet via teleconference once a month at minimum over the course of the year.
Advocacy Task Force (Contact: Ana Krause)
This Task Force will focus on advocating for interprofessional education in current curriculum
and practice settings, as well as finding sources of funding to support Chapters. This group will
find ways to promote NaHSSA's key messages and additionally, focus on fostering regional
partnerships within education, the government and practice environments. View the Terms of Reference
Student-to-Clinician Transition Task Force (Contact: Susan Tam or Kamini Kalia)
This Task Force will focus on finding ways to support interprofessional student leaders who are
transitioning from being a professional student to a new graduate entering the workforce. This
group will also discuss strategies to foster new graduates as changing agents in the practice
