Privacy Statement

Privacy

This Privacy Statement describes how NaHSSA collects and uses information through the website.
What information does NaHSSA collect on its website?
NaHSSA collects information you provide that personally identifies you when you use the site. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your name and email alias, your phone number or additional contact information you provide, and other information which can be connected to you via use of cookies (described below). Additionally, in the event that you request support or services from the site, you may need to disclose personal or financial information such as a credit card to pay for such services. NaHSSA may collect aggregate information that does not indicate the identity of any particular user, but describes the habits, usage patterns and/or demographics of users as a group.

What are cookies and how are they used?
A cookie is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by a computer server. It serves as your identification card and is uniquely yours. Cookies tell us you returned to a specific web page on our site and help us track your preferences and transactional habits. Cookies recognize your password and help us personalize your experience at the site by permitting our computer server to "remember" who you are. By modifying your browser preferences you may chose to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies you may be unable to use those NaHSSA services that require registration in order to participate.

Generally, we might use cookies to:
  • Remind us of who you are. This cookie is set when you register or "Sign In" and is modified when you "Sign Out".

  • Estimate our audience size. Each browser accessing NaHSSA’s website is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine the extent of repeat usage, usage by a registered user versus by an unregistered user, and to help target our website based on user interests and behavior.

  • Measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of NaHSSA you have visited, and those visiting patterns in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users' habits are similar or different from one another so we can make each new experience on the NaHSSA website a better one. We may use this information to better personalize the content, banners and promotions (if applicable) that you and other users may see on our site. NaHSSA might also collect IP addresses for system administration and to analyze aggregate information.
How does NaHSSA use and share my information?
NaHSSA uses your personal information to operate the site, to provide you with services or information, to contact you about your account with NaHSSA, to respond to your inquiries or provide support and to personalize content from our site, which is delivered at your request. We may use your email address or other contact information to send you notices, information about your account, or bulletins about changes to our website and policies stated there.

If you have given us permission, we may use your email address and other personally identifiable information to provide you with information about services we believe may be of interest to you.

We analyze non-personally identifiable information to change or improve the structure and content of our website. We may share this type of collected information with our partners or other selected entities, but we do not disclose any personally identifiable information to third parties without your express permission.

How can I correct or remove personal information?
If your personally identifiable information changes or if you no longer want our service, you may correct, change or remove the personal information you have provided to us. Personally identifiable information we have collected and transferred to back-up or archival storage may, however, be retained indefinitely.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of my information?
We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. While we strive to protect your personal information, NaHSSA cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information communicated to the site.
